COURSES

Introduction to Microsoft Office An overview of the Microsoft Office Package including Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Participants learn to create, save, retrieve, edit and print for all applications.

Microsoft Word

Introduction to Word for Windows
An overview of the components of Windows and Word for Windows: WYSIWYG environment, menus and mouse techniques. Participants learn to create and edit documents; format and align text; save and retrieve; search and replace; spell checking, thesaurus, grammar checking and printing.

Intermediate Word for Windows
Students are introduced to the more advanced functions of Word, such as inserting headers and footers, page numbers, footnotes, tables, columns, etc. Creating documents from templates. Using the mail merge facility to create form letters and mailing labels.

Microsoft Excel

Introduction to Excel for Windows This introductory course is aimed at giving users an understanding of the capabilities of Excel spreadsheets.

Intermediate Excel for Windows This course introduces users to the advanced functions of Excel and builds on skills acquired in the Introductory course.

Microsoft Access

Introduction to Access for Windows
This course will introduce users to the database application, Microsoft Access for Windows. Participants will gain an understanding of how a database operates and will be able to use Access to create and manipulate databases.

Intermediate Access for Windows
This course introduces users to the advanced functions of Access and builds on skills acquired in the Introductory course.

Microsoft Powerpoint

Introduction to PowerPoint for Windows This course will introduce new users to the presentation application, Microsoft PowerPoint for Windows. Participants will gain an understanding of how to construct presentations and use various presentation options.
Intermediate PowerPoint for Windows This course introduces users to the advanced functions of PowerPoint and builds on skills acquired in the Introductory course.


Intuit Quickbooks Accounting Complete business accounting training using Quickbooks for Windows. Students learn how to set up, manage and run a complete set of company accounts. Activities include setting up ledgers, creating invoice structures, creating and printing invoices, entering bills, paying bills by cheque and credit card, reconciling bank statements, paying employees, creating reports - Profit and Loss; Balance sheet; expense reports, etc. Students are also shown how to analyse their accounts using various graphing functions.

  Company setup
We also offer a full set up service for your accounts - We supply the package, take your existing manual or computer accounts and set them up in Quickbooks - Then we provide full training on all of the features of Quickbooks.

Microsoft Windows 95, 98 and 2000
A thorough introduction to the graphical user interface of the Windows environment. Drop-down menus, dialog boxes and icons are explored. Participants learn to manipulate windows, start programs and switch applications. Tailoring window arrangement is practiced. File and print management is reviewed. Workshops include using multimedia functions, advanced tools and various Windows utilities.

 

Microsoft NT Server Administration Intensive in-depth course to provide students with a thorough understanding of Windows NT system through hands-on administration and advanced features. Labs include security issues, user administration, printing, data back-up and network management
